Palmistry
Palmistry is an extremely complicated subject. For the purpose of this class, you will only be studying
the very basics of Palmistry.
The picture on this page is of the four main palm lines this section will be working with: the Heart line,
Head line, Life line, and Fate line.
The Heart line, located at the top of the hand, extends from the edge of the hand below
the little finger, ending between the index and middle fingers. This line can either be straight or have a deep curve. One
with a curved line is typically active in romantic matters and rather agressive in love, whereas one with a straight line
tends to be passive in romantic matters, and receptive in love. The curved Heart line shows signs of being demonstrative,
where straight lines take time and think. A Heart line that becomes a steep curve between the index and middle finger shows
someone who has deep desires, and a line that end underneith the index finger shows a person who is choosy when it comes to
their partner.
Interestingly, the curved Heart line is much more common on male hands, while the straight Heart line tends
to be more common on female hands.
The Head Line, located directly beneath the Heart line, shows how a person thinks, and
does not show intelligence. An average Head line ends somewhere under the ring finger. Straight Head lines indicate clear
concentrated thinking, whereas curved Head lines belong to people who enjoy playing with new ideas. A creative mind will usually
have a diagonal sloping Head line. Horrizontal Head lines tend to belong to practical thinkers. A fork, or branching off of
the Head line shows an ability to see more than one point of view. Head lines starting directly under the index finger indicates
a brilliant mind.
The Life Line, curving around your thumb, reveals the quality of one's life. A Life line
running close to the thumb indicates a person of low vitality. A line that runs a wide curve shows a person with a high
vitality. If the Head line is stronger than the Life line, it typically shows a person who is more mentally active than phisically
active. A branch leading towards the Index finger is a sign of academic achievement.
The Fate Line is a vertical line starting at the center base of the palm. Strong
Fate lines, and lines that begin at the very bottom of the palm, belong to people who settle into a pattern of life early,
and weak Fate lines tend to belong to people who are unsettled and change things around. When the Fate line ends at the Head
line, it is an indication that a the person may lose their way later in life. Most Fate lines, however, end at the Heart line.
If a line runs all the way, almost to the middle finger, though, it indicates someone who may be active up into their old
age. The absence of a Fate line shows someone who lacks stability.
